Do you believe that timing in life can mean the success of a potential vision?
Let me explain;
This 5 string Fretless "Slugmiester " Lop Bass was made for me in 1990. I designed it with some help from my then girlfriend, who was big into pet rabbits. I chose the woods to include a Rosewood neck with a Purple heartwood fretboard, a African Paduk top with a Brazilian Zebrawood middle and a Back walnut back. It was also important to have a strip of ebony too. Lastly, instead of Bartolini Hi-A in passive wiring I went with Alembic soapbars active.
Back then I wasn't really feeling the bass. I played it live a few times and my friends Wayne Patterson and Ricky Richard Gray thought it sounded awesome.
So after getting the bridge replaced and new custom Flatwounds made by Garry Goodman I'm freaking loving it!!!!
I will feature this Bass on my next album.
I just have to get that low B a lighter gauge and I'm ready to go!

Happy August music Lovers 🎶,
Here is Part Two of my interview with Legendary bassist Dennis Dunaway. We discuss the recently released "the Revenge of Alice Cooper " album and stories on behind the making of it. Dennis also rates the AC band catalog from "Love it to Death" to "Muscle of Love " including the new album. I learned how much the late Glen Buxton meant to the history of these recordings and how they used a guitar riff from a old cassette to include the late guitarist on the new album. What a tribute!

"We sing the BASS Electric'" first guest of season two/part 1 is the legendary Dennis Dunaway, the founding member of the original Alice Cooper band. We discuss some of his early albums and great Bass riffs on Killers, School's Out, Billion Dollar Babies and Muscle of Love.

Yes!
Thanks to my persistence I found the perfect replacement bridge for my custom designed "Lop" 5 string Fretless.
Gotoh told me that the original bridge has been discontinued for almost 20 years but this model I found on Ebay worked perfectly!
