Dozens of migrants killed in strike on , Houthis say

*One injured man could be heard calling out "My mother" in , 's official language, according to Reuters news agency.

At least 68 African migrants have been killed in a US air strike on a detention center in Houthi-controlled north-western Yemen, the armed group's TV channel says.

Al Masirah reported that another 47 migrants were injured, most of them critically, when the center in Saada province was bombed. It posted graphic footage showing multiple bodies covered in the rubble of a destroyed building.

There was no immediate comment from the US military.
But it came hours after US Central Command announced that its forces had hit more than 800 targets since President Donald Trump ordered an intensification of the air campaign against the Houthis on 15 March.

It said the strikes had "killed hundreds of Houthi fighters and numerous Houthi leaders", including senior officials overseeing missile and drone programs.

Houthi-run authorities have said the strikes have killed dozens of civilians, but they have reported few casualties among the group's members.

The migrant detention center in Saada was reportedly holding 115 Africans when it was hit four times shortly before 05:00 local time (02:00 GMT) on Monday, according to Al Masirah.

Ethiopia’s 🇪🇹 Economy Undergoes Major Shift Contrary to Global Expectations
At the beginning of last year, Ethiopia ranked fifth in Africa in terms of GDP, with its economic output reaching $250 billion. This year, however, Ethiopia’s output stands at $117 billion. For the first time in history, Kenya has surpassed Ethiopia and become the leading economy in the Horn of Africa. Overall, Ethiopia has fallen to seventh place in Africa.

The major reason behind this dramatic collapse is that Ethiopia’s government-controlled monetary system was dismantled. Now, the country’s economy is determined by market forces — the prevailing exchange rates, market power, and its production capacity.

This change led to a sharp depreciation of the Ethiopian currency after it was no longer under direct government control, making it similar to the U.S. Dollar and other global currencies.

This depreciation caused Ethiopia’s economy, previously valued at $250 billion, to fall to around $100 billion within just two months, and today it stands at $117billion
