THE ART OF TENNIS
US Open players reimagined through art.
Artist Andy Fackrell captures each athlete’s essence with allegory, symbolism, and a touch of mystic energy — transforming movement into a balletic moment frozen in time. Every player at this year’s US Open received a one-of-a-kind portrait for their private collection.
“I’m not usually a portrait painter, but after my self-portrait was exhibited in Sydney, I painted Iga for On, which they later presented at Roland Garros. From there, each player became tied to a place or event — allowing me to capture their essence beyond just an action pose.” – Andy Fackrell
