They say a picture is worth a thousand words …
this particular one is worth a million.
Exactly this time last year, I had an opportunity to be a part of “Joy is Here” and write a spoken word piece describing the night when Jesus was born. If this photo could speak without filter, it would tell you how my heart was extremely grateful but also how I fought with so many fears and nerves in my mind. “God, are you sure?” “Can I really do this, God?” “What if this happens…or that?” But in the midst of all the anxiousness and fears, there was a blessing that happened … my nephew was born on the same day, at the same time, as this poem was delivered.
God has a unique way of speaking, and this moment was one of them. My pastors shared, “When you release your gift something is born.”
Here’s the encouragement 👉🏽 Many of us have been in a place where we’ve questioned our gifts and who God has called us to be. Maybe you’ve doubted those BIG dreams that He gave you and now are afraid to make a faith move. Trust me, I get it.
But don’t allow your doubts and fears to override what God thinks and says about you. If He has called you to it, best believe He will see you through it. If He gave you that BIG vision, dream, or idea; He will send provision for it.
I’ve learned that God is birthing something in the new place. That book can be someone’s healing. That song can be someone’s breakthrough. That testimony can lead to someone’s freedom. That idea can be a link to someone’s miracle. That business can be an answer to someone’s problem. Trust and go forth in what He said over your life. I pray you find confidence to keep doing the BIG, BOLD, FAITH things He has called you to. And the next time you asked, “God are you sure?” Don’t look back, don’t look down, but look up. You’ll see that all of heaven is backing you up.
