Still in shock over my experience at The Makeup Show NYC ✨
This conference reminded me that makeup is not just about covering imperfections, but enhancing what already exists

I was so blessed to fellowship with so many beauty nerds, artists, and entrepreneurs who are talented and are serious about their things. Being able to learn from icons like and was truly special, and hearing their perspectives on artistry, consistency, creativity…ugh I could go on for days.

I especially appreciated was the intentional representation throughout the show. The girls were giving diverse skin tones, textures, and features throughout all the demos, education, and artistry. really didn’t miss a beat, and I will be back next year.

March started a little bittersweet. The world feels like it’s on fire, and opening this app some days feels like a doom scroll waiting to happen. So instead, I’ve been leaning into softening my days and protecting my feminine energy.

This week that looked like:

✨Haircare: I’m determined to grow out my pixie and fully embrace my curls. Thank you all for the amazing product recommendations, yall always come through.

✨Guilty pleasures: fresh frenchies, pedicures, and escaping the news with old movies (Death Becomes Her was the pertect escape).

✨Refining my craft: back in the lab, re-upping on my staple products instead of chasing every new drop.

✨Healthy inside & out: still holding down my 5x/week gym routine. The winter arc did its thing. Proud of me.

✨Surrounding myself with art: DC feels heavy right now, so I’m keeping creative energy around me as much as possible.

✨Of course keeping a beat face is always part of the program.

Love Day Recap 🥀 Sometimes all you need is a simple dress to turn it up. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. Old Town, Alexandria is one of the most romantic neighborhoods in the DMV and I never regret spending time there.

Sun’s out, glow’s on! Turns out, our grandmothers had the beauty secrets all along. The Vaseline Cocoa Shimmer Jelly Stick has my skin looking radiant this summer. I also grabbed the Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Spray Moisturizer—finally in aerosol form! No more taking off my rings just to apply that glow. ✨
