There is a species of frog in Borneo (sadly called the lesser rock frog) that threatens rivals by waving their back feet at each other. The waterfalls where they live are too loud for traditional vocal intimidation.

Dolphins, and other whales, sleep with one half of their brain at a time. They have to, because breathing for them is voluntary--they have to think to do it. (Otherwise, living beneath the water, they would drown as soon as they drifted off). That means they sleep with one eye open all the time!
