Ignoring candidates after the interview is among the most disrespectful behaviors in the current hiring culture

Here is what candidates experience
*Numerous interview rounds
*Hours dedication to the preparation
*Countless follow up emails that remain unanswered.

And the same organization reopens the job listing everyday or 1 week later .

If you have the capacity to arrange an interview ,you certainly have the ability to send a brief rejection.

Unfortunately, a lot of crew members are being disembarked due to fighting, excessive drinking, and sexual harassment. It’s disappointing to see so many people forget why they are there in the first place—to work, grow, and build a better future. Professionalism and discipline are important both on and off duty.

A few weeks ago, some people I know who worked together onboard had a fight. It really hurt me to hear that one person ended up getting fired, especially because they once had a good relationship with each other.
I’m not taking sides because I only heard one side of the story, but after listening to everything, I honestly feel some situations can be solved better when emotions calm down instead of pushing things to the point where someone loses their job.
Cruise ship life is already hard enough. Sometimes as fellow Zimbabweans and workmates, we should try to guide each other, calm situations down, and find peaceful solutions where possible.
At first, the issue was being handled without reporting, and I respected that. But later, after pressure from others, it was reported and someone got fired. That part did not sit well with me.
What do we really gain from getting someone fired when there could have been another way to solve things? Life onboard is tough, and we all need each other.
I’m honestly not happy about this whole story because I know both of them. Pakabhaizika big time. 💔

Sometimes I ask myself, how do some people sleep peacefully knowing their actions contributed to someone losing their job? Munonamata Mwari upi chaizvo nehutsinye uhu?
