🔺NEW UPSCALE RESTAURANT MARCUS DC brings together the soulful flavors of Black culinary traditions from the heart of DC to the bold spices of Africa and beyond. Led by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson and executive chef Anthony Jones. We visited the restaurant.. service, ambiance and food were excellent. Here are some favorites: Grilled Whole Black Bass- crab curry, swiss chard, crispy batata; Mel's Crab Rice- early summer mushroom, hot sauce pickled okra, uni bernaise; 36-Day Dry-Aged NY Strip (14oz)- yellowfoot mushroom , dawa dawa crust, black garlic jus.
