We did a "thing." After spending one summer in
South Texas with two AC units running nearly
non-stop, we decided to install a mini split. Wow!
What a difference. Last year when the temps were
in the mid 90°s our inside temps were never under
90° during daylight hours. Since installing the mini
split, we can keep it around 77° (comfortable for
us) using only the split and the front AC. Neither
one running constantly either. As an added bonus,
we no longer have the constant noise of the AC in
the living room.

This is definitely one of my better ideas. I got a
vent cover and used velcro strips to adhere it, and
voila! No more arctic blast in the kitchen area, AND
the air can be directed right to the bedroom area
for when l'm sleeping. can also redirect it to the
back of the camper since it's removable.

I live in Texas and the ac in my 2025 17b and could
not keep it cool enough when it was in the 90's
with high humidity. I tried a 6000btu ac and it was
a little better but still not comfortable. I didn't want
to risk a leak by going bigger and having to modify
the box and drain pan. So I installed a 8000btu
portable ac at the foot of the bed. I cut a hole into
the outdoor pass through tunnel to run the
exhaust out. I am still working out how to run the
exhaust out of the access door and make it look
ok. Itried it a couple of days and I can get it
feeling good on the inside. When I am camping if it
gets too hot I can run a heavy extension cord and
use both.

Latest project. Our bathroom has an 8' high cieling
and factory decided to put a fan that had to be
manually opened. I replaced with a power opening
fan with a rain sensor and also put a vent cover
over it

My neighbors cannot believe how quiet this 4500w
generator runs! I was less than 20 feet from my
last camping neighbors ran it at night had no
complaints from fellow campers. I am finally a
happy camper!
