I did my duty!

to share this! As you may know I chose to be a Nurse! Back in 1980 when I did this not many men were making the same decision. While in nursing school I was performing standup comedy at the Charm City Club on Water Street in downtown Baltimore. In 1984 I was named “one of Baltimore’s funniest young comedians” in a Mashes Ham’s competition. Upon graduating from nursing school I retired from comedy.

Around 1990 I realized I needed to be less serious and in my life and career. I began referring to myself as a Retired Comic!

For about a decade my ability to use humor as a public speaker combined with my understanding of the Caregiver personality saw me become known as the Defender of Caregivers!

Today; I blessed to be myself using comedy to educate Caregivers and those with chronic disease; diabetes and at risk for Falls.

This video is a brief example of how o spend some of my days in service to others through humor.
