The future of Farm Bureau and agriculture is only as strong as the leaders we prepare today.

The American Society of Association Executives recently honored the Collegiate Farm Bureau Mini-Grant Program for doing just that. The program supports student chapters with $500 grants for initiatives such as recruitment, leadership development, community service, officer training, educational materials and conference participation.

Traveling hundreds–or thousands–of miles to display and sell products at a farmers market is not an everyday occurrence. But more than 30 farmers and ranchers did just that during National Farmers Market Week in our nation’s capital last week.

Several Farm Bureau members traveled from different parts of the country to participate in the Great American Farmers Market, hosted by USDA, to showcase agriculture and connect with consumers. 📰 https://bit.ly/45rNFLI

This week, Farm Bureau Promotion & Engagement members from across the country brought their stories to the heart of New York City, hosting “Ask a Farmer” events in Central Park and Times Square. These conversations help connect the people who grow our food with the people who enjoy it. Building trust, one question at a time.

Last week I had a unique opportunity to get a look at agriculture in the English countryside. I was reminded of how much farmers everywhere have in common, and every conversation highlighted how important trade is to farmers on both sides of “the pond.”
