The 25th Dennis Drohan Memorial and 2nd year we collaborated with the Emanuel Cancer Foundation was a huge success on Friday. Thank you to all the golfers who withstood the elements. And a special thank you to the sponsors and donors. We raised over $20,000!

Community Thrift Shop Needs Volunteers!

The Community Thrift Shop has been helping charities and people in the community for 90 years but the global pandemic is threatening its livelihood. “Our rent is close to $6,000 a month and our revenues are down,” said President of the Board Sue Fremgen. “We don’t have enough volunteers to keep the store open for as many days as before. We are now closed on Wednesday and Friday.”

Volunteers are needed to tag donated items and assist in shop sales! Have items to donate? Gently used items such as clothing, books, toys, jewelry, handbags, household items and bric-a-brac are accepted on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Introducing The Pfisterer Family!

For Edel & Dennis Pfisterer, the spirit of neighborhood get-togethers was one of the treats they received when choosing to move to Wyckoff from Pennsylvania in 2015. Meeting freshman year at the College of Holy Cross, the couple dated for 9 years when Dennis packed their suitcases, booked airline tickets and surprised Edel with a trip to Ireland where he proposed. They were married in 2013 & still have date nights today!

With their 4 children, Norah, Seamus, Maeve and Ailish, Edel & Dennis have an annual tradition of hosting a Halloween party for their neighborhood & devising a creative family costume.

This year's contenders? Hawaiian Pizza or Dunkin' Donuts!
