The Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce celebrated “A Tropical Night in Paradise” Annual Dinner, Board Installation and Guiding Light Awards Wednesday at the newly remodeled Marriott Pompano Beach Resort and Spa.

It was a festive evening in a beautiful setting that included a live auction and steel drums entertainment at the infinity pool.

City Construction as Poetry in Motion
New crosswalks on a city street are complicated to construct. Take a look at this video Multi-Media Works, LLC produced about the detailed steps in constructing just one crosswalk on A1A in Pompano Beach as part of a streetscape revitalization. We captured the teamwork as poetry in motion-- a dance at dark staged while most residents are sleeping.

While we are sleeping…

Last month Multi-Media Works, LLC documented night construction work along A1A in Pompano Beach for a video about the revitalization of the street. To avoid even greater daytime traffic tie ups, work late at night is the desirable option to get it done. We captured scenes in video and still photography that you may agree make for an artistic tabloid of night construction. The movie is forthcoming.

A Community Garden Reborn

Have you been to the beloved Dania Beach community garden called The PATCH (People’s Access to Community Horticulture)? It’s a sustainable urban garden at 1201 W. Dania Beach Blvd. where fresh produce is grown for the community and horticulture education classes taught for all ages.

The garden was destroyed in storms a few years ago, but with the help of donations and volunteers it has been revived and improved beyond the Dania Beach CRA’s expectations.

Multi-Media Works, LLC produced a video about the grand re-opening at harvest time as a new ending to a previous video about The PATCH garden. This is one way to refresh and update video content to revitalize it, like the garden itself. Check it out:

Do you know what a County Resilience Officer is?

Broward County is fortunate to have Dr. Jennifer Jurado as its high-level Chief Resilience Officer. At the Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce luncheon this week, Dr. Jurado shared her expertise in a presentation report about Broward County’s resilience plan with its challenges confronting climate change and sea level rise.

A Grand Re-opening as an Ending and Beginning

The Dania Beach CRA held a grand re-opening of The PATCH, a beloved community garden destroyed by storms a few years ago.

When a previous video ending about the garden needed a refresher to reflect the update, Multi-Media Works, LLC produced a new stand-alone video ending about the garden at the grand re-opening.

This represents one way to tell the story of a special project by updating the ending as a new beginning.

Eat, Drink, Be Merry in Pompano Beach

What a feast! 27 all-you- can-eat and drink booths with gourmet foods and wines to indulge your palate along with fab auction items, 2 live bands and gorgeous weather at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center hosted by the Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce to showcase local businesses at the Pompano Beach Fine Food & Wine Festival on Thursday eve.

Here’s proof positive that attendees had a blast pairing wine with delectables. The Multi-Media Works, LLC team captured this event in photography and video for the Chamber.

Celebrating Spring with Easter and Passover

Easter and Passover, while distinct, share a significant theological connection, particularly for Christians. Easter, a Christian holiday, celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, a pivotal event in Christian faith. Passover, a Jewish holiday, commemorates the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt, a foundational event in Jewish history.

Both holidays celebrate liberation from oppression. Passover commemorates the Israelites' escape from slavery in Egypt, while Easter represents liberation from the bo***ge of sin and death through Jesus' sacrifice.

Both holidays mark a new beginning. Passover, with roots in the Old Testament, is a time of renewal and reflection while Easter, with roots in the New Testament, is a time of hope and new life in the resurrection of Jesus.
