Clorox plans to start transitioning its U.S. supply chain and other business operations in July to a new ERP system, replacing decades-old technology and significantly boosting productivity, executives said on June 4.

The household products manufacturer is building inventory at its retailers as a buffer while it transitions its system.

Electric vehicle maker Lucid is doubling down on its domestic sourcing and production efforts in the face of new U.S. tariffs. The company is also exploring how to use fewer components to manufacture finished products.

“I think what this year has taught us, if nothing else, is that we need to be continuously understanding and evaluating what resiliency means, what the risks to our companies are, [and] what our strategies should be in response,” VP of Engineering James Hawkins said at AutoTech 2025 this month. “Absolutely, it needs to be continuously and thoroughly examined to make sure that we’re covering our bases.”
