August 11, 2019 marks 25 years of our continuous activity on the internet. August 16th marks three years since the devastating floods in South Louisiana that affected our operations. With this month we can say that we have moved from the swamps to the mountains to continue our traditions and the full time resumption of operations. Look forward to our new operations beginning this fall.
For the last six months we have been running 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We also added three additional streams to cover the wide spectrum of artists. During this time we have operated without advertising or subsidies from any source. We wanted to see if we could accomplish and succeed with the technology and we have done so. After much debate we have questioned whether 24 hour nonstop programming is viable in today’s changing society. We have come to the conclusion that the concept is becoming obsolete. After decades of exposure to the concept that is a radical change!
So in order to better utilize our resources we have decided to concentrate on video production and recordings, and to put our products where they can get the most exposure yet allow viewers the ability to see the content anywhere anytime. From this point forward our programming will become available on YouTube and Vimeo.
As you know we have considerable resources involved with weather research and science oriented subject material. We will be concentrating our efforts in these areas. Of course since our expertise is in live recording, we will continue to capture live music events and air the works both live and recorded on YouTube and Vimeo.
Our primary purpose is to enable monetization that will cover our operating costs, and to fit into the changes of the viewing populous. The second advantage is we will be able to be on the road and be able to bring you programming that we would otherwise not be able to achieve with the 24 hour old style methodology.
We have adjusted our website at pullman.tv to reflect the changes and the termination of the streams. We look forward to having you as viewers again in the very near future.
