My heart is filled with so many memories as I continue to reflect on my dear friend, mentor, and business partner, Dr. Tina Michelle. 🙏🏾 The photo below is of me and Tina and represents our close friendship. ❤️
Tina was truly brilliant. She had an incredible mind for business, a heart for people, and a gift for seeing possibilities that others couldn’t always see. She believed in me, encouraged me, challenged me, and helped me grow both personally and professionally.
Tina played such an important role in helping me to develop the Black Business Owners Network (BBON), and together we went on to co-found the Black Empowered Media Network (BEMN), after taping several seasons of the show Black Empowered. We dreamed together, planned together, built together, prayed together, and accomplished some beautiful things together. I will forever be grateful for everything she poured into me and into the vision God gave us.
But beyond business, Tina was my friend. For more than 20 years, we shared life, laughter, ideas, prayers, challenges, victories, and dreams. She was an incredible mentor and someone whose wisdom and influence helped shape so much of who I am today.
I will deeply miss our conversations, our brainstorming sessions, our laughter, and simply knowing that I could pick up the phone and call my friend.
Tina, thank you for believing in me. Thank you for building with me. Thank you for mentoring me, loving me, and leaving such a beautiful imprint on my life.
The work we did together will always be a part of your legacy, and I will carry the lessons you taught me forward. I love you, my friend. Your impact will never be forgotten. ❤️🙏🏾
