Since I am seeing so much outrage about Trump’s construction project
Let’s just drop some facts about Trump’s $250M Ballroom vs. Obama’s $376M Renovation..
President Trump is privately funding the construction of a $250 million ballroom on White House grounds…
With his own money and support from private donors..
No taxpayer dollars.
No government handouts..
Meanwhile, back in 2010, the Obama administration oversaw $376 million in White House renovations…
Were ya’ll this upset then?
Or is this another “orange man bad” situation so we’re going to be outraged just to be outraged?
Here are the facts:
Obama’s Big Dig project is described in public documents (and referenced on Wikipedia & Yahoo) as a “$376‑million project” that began in 2010, aimed at major renovations around the West and East Wings..
It says the funds were allocated by a congressional appropriation made in late 2001.
Because congressional appropriations is are funded by taxpayer dollars, this implies that at least a PORTION (if not all) of the project was funded by public money..
Now here is the most interesting part.. it is INCREDIBLY difficult to find any transparency in Obama’s project versus Trump’s..
In fact, if you simply google anything about Trump’s project.. it’s everywhere.. among the bias hatred you will inevitably see..
if you spend 5 minutes looking, you will see where the money comes from.
Transparent.
Clear.
But when you look up Obama’s.. you are met with incomplete information..
No… the public record does not clearly show a full breakdown of funding sources that proves “100% taxpayer‑funded” or “100% privately funded”.
It ONLY mentions the tax payer funds.
I wonder why that is?
It was a rather large project.. why can’t we easily find details in a matter of minutes? 🧐
The project is described as having congressional appropriations (taxpayer‑funded) but the breakdown of funding sources (private vs public) is not clearly published in accessible public summaries…
But no one cares about that..
Although you should care.
So All i have to say is, watch your bias..
Because Truth matters.
And so does consistency.
