Who’s got your back when college gets real?
For first-generation college students, support can’t stop at the acceptance letter.

For this DCPS Persists microdoc, we filmed students before and after they started college, then watched them navigate that transition in real time with the coaches helping them through it.

The pressure.

The questions.

The first hard stretch.

The people making sure they weren’t doing it alone.

For universities, school systems, and education nonprofits, that’s what documentary work can capture better than a standard promo: the relationship behind the result.

Swipe through for a few moments from the project.

Podcast recordings aren’t just audio anymore.

For RAINN’s Congressional Day of Action prep event, LAI Video captured a live five-person podcast conversation with every audio feed monitored and adjusted in real time.

Because when a conversation happens in a room like this, the recording is only one part of what matters.

It’s the full room.
The reactions.
The behind-the-scenes moments.
The short clips.
The speaker takeaways.
The social cutdowns.
The content you’ll want later, but can only use if it was captured in the first place.

That’s why we approach podcast production like event production: every part of the moment captured cleanly from the start.

Spring has sprung, which means your B-roll just got an upgrade. If you’re filming people working, talking, walking, meeting, whatever, taking that scene outside changes everything, and in spring it works even harder. The greenery helps, the light helps, and the whole frame feels more alive.

Even when it’s subtle, that kind of setting makes your message feel fresher too. Only downside: allergies. Small price to pay for better visuals.

A good interview shot should feel natural. That part is not accidental.

For this No Kid Hungry shoot, the setup helped us keep the delivery smooth while still creating a frame that felt warm, welcoming, and true to the brand. The final shot brought the message forward while also making the most of the color and design of their new DC office.

Swipe to see the setup and the final frame.

In a time of AI, misinformation, and endless scrolling, live events still give people something real.

That’s what makes them such a powerful place to capture marketing content. The right team doesn’t just film what happened. They find the moments, reactions, and conversations that help your audience connect with your message long after the event is over.

Great event content starts on site.
