The countdown is on: just about two weeks until 50 + The Second Half Magazine’s 7th Annual Cookout, and this year’s theme is all about the unforgettable 1960s. First off, a huge thank you to everyone who’s attending and performing. If you’ve been to any of our last six cookouts, you know how we do it—good food, great music, and even better company. A lot of us might be a little older, but we’re definitely not slowing down. We’re still here, still ready to have fun, and this cookout is shaping up to be another one for the books.
But don’t think this is our only big event for 2025. Mark your calendar for October 18th, when we’ll be trading our picnic tables for tuxes and gowns at our Black Tie event at the Harborside Hotel on the National Harbor, from 5 to 9 PM. If you want in, you’ll be able to grab tickets at an awesome discounted price—just stop by our upcoming events table for details. Trust me, you don’t want to miss it.
And there’s more: we’re excited to announce the launch of our new talk show, “Prime Timers Tuesday,” kicking off September 2nd from 7 to 8 PM. It’s going to be packed with real news you can use, delivered by people who get it.
