I’ve gotten so many questions lately about what age I started certain routines and what our toddler years looked like. And truthfully… I’m sharing what I’m actively living right now. The toddler years went by in a blur, and I never want to act like I remember every rhythm, routine, or hard day perfectly. 😅 So I’m putting you on to three mom creators I genuinely love following—each in a different season of motherhood: ✨ Preschool + elementary rhythms: | Mom to 4 ✨ College-kid motherhood: ✨ Parenting grown adult kids: Because there is something so helpful about hearing from a mom who is currently in the phase you’re navigating. Go follow them, save this for later, and tell them I sent you.

I’ve been subscribed to Nuuly for two years now, and honestly, it has been one of my favorite ADHD-friendly systems for getting dressed. Instead of panic-buying a new outfit anytime I have a wedding, date night, girls’ night, trip, or random event on the calendar, I rent six items for the month and actually have fun options ready to wear. I still buy pieces I know I’ll wear on repeat, but renting has helped me avoid spending money on those “cute for one night only” outfits that end up sitting in my closet forever. This month’s six rental items were too good not to share. Have you tried

This part of our morning routine didn’t happen overnight! There was complaining and resistance at first and that’s normal. The goal isn’t for them to love every hard thing. It’s for them to learn they can do hard things, even when they don’t feel like it. You can be loving and still hold the expectation. 🤍

This is what raising three disciplined boys looks like when the morning routine is dialed in: 6:40 AM run, showers, breakfast, devotional, and everyone where they need to be on time. It’s not always easy but I’m not raising them for easy. I’m raising capable men.

A gentle reminder I’m learning in real time: our kids are allowed to have their own path, their own choices, their own disappointments, and their own version of a good life. They don’t need us to rewrite our teenage years through them. They need us to be a safe place, hold the boundaries, and love them through theirs.

Since February, our family has been practicing Sabbath Sundays: church, worship, lunch together, time outside, quiet time, and simply being present with each other. No phones. No computers. No housework. No pressure to be productive. Sometimes that means my Monday reset is a little fuller and honestly, I’m okay with that. I would rather start the week with a reset house than a burnt-out family. Whether you call it Sabbath, a family reset, or a reconnect day, I truly think every family needs a rhythm of rest in a world that tells us to stay busy all the time. What would a no-phone, no-chore reconnect day look like for your family?
