Before you burn, take a minute to check whether you need a small or large scale burn permit. Burn barrels, brush piles, lawn burning, land clearing, and larger burns may all require a permit depending on what you’re doing and where you are.

Alaska’s public lands need people willing to show up and lend a hand. Bring your waders, gloves, eye protection, and a good attitude. This is a hands-on work project, and every volunteer makes a difference. 💪

Join the Alaska Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers on Saturday, May 30 for the Russian River Fencing Project.

Volunteers will team up with Chugach National Forest staff and Kenai Peninsula Stream Watch to install temporary fencing that helps protect important fish habitat along the Russian River.
