🔥 Summer in Alaska means longer days, yard cleanup, campfires — and fire danger. The Alaska DNR - Division of Forestry & Fire Protection - DFFP is here to help.

Before you burn, take a minute to check whether you need a small or large scale burn permit. Burn barrels, brush piles, lawn burning, land clearing, and larger burns may all require a permit depending on what you’re doing and where you are.

Protect your home, your neighbors, and Alaska’s wildlands.

Check current rules and get your permit here:

The State of Alaska Division of Forestry burn permit website. In addition to the burn permit application, this website provides information pertaining to safe burning practices in the State of Alaska.
