🖤💛⚽🏃🏐Harwood Boys Soccer hosts the quarterfinal match this afternoon at 3 p.m. vs. U-32. (rain is supposed to end by then)
Girls Soccer does the same tomorrow at 11 a.m. vs. Montpelier as Cross Country runners head to the state championship meet at Thetford. Volleyball continues to the D-II semifinals next week.

Vermont State Police have news that a body was found in the search for a missing Middlebury College student Lia Smith. An autopsy will be done tomorrow. No ID was released today but officials thanked all who assisted with the search.

This community survey seeking public opinion about the state's school redistricting effort closes on Sunday 10/26. Harwood School Board leaders will share the results with the state School Redistricting Task Force.

The HUUSD School Board has developed a community survey on the implications of Act 73 in order to give our input to the legislative Task Force which is currently working on mapping out new school districts for Vermont schools.

The Harwood school board has an online survey and it plans to share public input with the Vt. School Redistricting Task Force. Find the link here. (Paper copies are not available.) Survey closes on Oct. 26.

Turning off comments on this. I don't have time to babysit facebook commenters in search of attention for being mean, clever or cruel.
Vermont is a small state. Everyone has friends, family and acquaintances in many corners of the state. That's why this information is shared here.
No, I am not covering this as a reporter in Waterbury. Hopefully other news outlets closer to it will have good coverage -The Middlebury Campus (student newspaper) is doing a good job right now. Vermont State Police, FBI, NY State Police and other agencies are involved in the search today. There is a briefing at 3 p.m. in Middlebury. Look for coverage from that later today and tomorrow on other Vermont news sites.
As a parent, I know this is at the top of the list of worst nightmares of any parent of a college student. Our thoughts are with Lia's family and friends, hoping for a positive outcome to the search.
