This is the only handmade gift I was able to craft this year because of the move and stress at work. It’s awfully pretty and my mother loves it. The pattern is a turned based on Wandering Vine over shot pattern.

So proud of my very first project on the AVL computer dobby loom. Full of mistakes, but even more full of potential, and I finally feel like I understand the tech. It was meant to be a sample… but became an extra-long, double-wrap scarf that’s incredibly cozy and warm.

I just finished measuring this wet finished sample of a wandering vine scarf that I’m about to weave. This was a real challenge, as it was my first time threading 18 shafts, it’s almost perfect, I’ve got one more mistake to fix before I’m off weaving this traditional overshot pattern reimagined as a turned twill.

🌈 It’s back! I’ve made one of my signature rainbow warps and will soon be weaving three new Aurora scarves! It’s been nearly two years since I last created one of these hand-dyed beauties, and I can’t wait to bring them to life again on the loom. Stay tuned for an upcoming video where I’ll share the process—from dye to weave.

It’s working!

After a long hiatus, I’m finally back at the loom—and not just any loom, but my favorite: Hugo. He’s freshly warped with a metallic gold warp I wound last year, and let me tell you, it’s dazzling.

This is my first time weaving with metallic threads, and I’m already hooked. For now, it’s plain weave while I get a feel for the shimmer, but I’ve got some structure experiments up my sleeve—that secret’s coming soon.

So good to be back in the rhythm. Expect more videos soon!
