Fuel Your Hope Friday🔥

My heart aches for the Kansas City Chiefs owner's daughter Gracie Hunt when she shares a message of faith as she mourns her 9 year old relative Janie Hunt who dies at Camp Mystic during the catastrophic Texas floods.

Shew, this kind of devastation at the summer camp and other Texas locations makes us melt like a scoop of toppled ice cream into the cracks of the hot hard concrete of grief and questioning.

Any answers we try to offer or grasp just smears and tears our hearts more against the gritty abrasive reality: that life is unfair and is no respecter of age or situation.

The scope of unfairness causes us to lift our tear streamed faces upward to where these children are...and where we'll see them again...with our Heavenly Father.

We are swept in a grief that is not lessened by knowing that we'll see them again, however, our gaping hearts are triaged and bandaged in an UNSHAKEABLE HOPE that the pain of this world is short compared to eternity.

And that is comforting.

I Thessalonians 4: 13-14 assures us, "...we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind , who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him."

If your are not sure where you are going after you leave this world, as we all will, today is the day to have assurance! Receive Jesus as your Lord and know that to be absent from this world is to be present with Him , and those who are with Him!

How to become a follower of Christ:
Romans 10:9 "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved."

How to find supernatural comfort:
Deuteronomy 31:8 "The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

2 Cornithians 1:3-4 " the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles..."

Psalm 94:19 "When anxiety was great within me , Your consolation brought me joy."
