Ocean gets a surprise from daddy

Today I sent the kids outside with paints thinking it would be less messy. Instead, they decorated our siding, windows, and doors with tiny handprints and colorful “art.”
Someday those handprints will completely wash away, but I’ll always remember this messy little moment of their childhood. 🖤✨
Would you leave it up for memories or clean it right away?

Thought I was being a smart mom: “Painting outside will be safer than painting inside.” 🎨
15 minutes later… my house is now a modern art museum. 🖼️😩

Yesterday I spent the day in Manhattan — just me, myself, and I. I walked around, stopped in a few shops, did a little shopping, and even treated myself to a pedicure. As a mom, it’s so easy to get caught up in the everyday routine of caring for kids and family, but yesterday I gave myself permission to slow down.

I even sat down for a meal alone at a restaurant — something I used to love doing before marriage and kids. There’s something so peaceful about enjoying good food in your own company, letting your thoughts wander, and simply being present.

Throughout the day, I took moments to breathe, observe, jot down a few reflections, and just… be. It felt rejuvenating — a reset for my mind and spirit. I also took time to thank God for my blessings and how far I’ve come.

And as if the day couldn’t get any better, I also had the chance to connect with a special someone Korra Obidi— truly the icing on the cake. ✨

💛 My reminder to anyone reading this: no matter how busy life gets — as a partner, a mom, or in whatever role you carry — it’s okay to pause. Take a break, breathe, and pour back into yourself. Sometimes all it takes is just one day to get back on track.
