It’s time for my 2nd quarter TBR scavenger hunt challenge results, I didn’t get nearly as many books read as I had hoped to, 3rd quarter prompts are coming and I am taking a ARC hiatus in order to get some more books read off my TBR. I was able to finish 10 books off my physical TBR but I will be honest I added a f**k ton more than 10 to my shelves.

Hi booksties! I have a beautiful TBR, so many books to read but I don't read them. I get distracted by the shiny new books coming out or the ARC’s that get delivered to my inbox. My goal for the rest of 2025 is to attack my TBR because here is the thing, I will always buy more books but I need space on my shelf for them.

This is for me and other mood readers like me, my prompts are general because I can’t handle being told what to do. It also allows me to pick what I want to read and find a prompt to fit it, not the other way around.

My mood demands it. If you are interested I have a list you can use just DM me.

𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚑𝚕𝚢 𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚆𝚛𝚊𝚙 𝚄𝚙

June was spent re-reading a couple of old faves and finishing up some ARC’s.

I finished 13 books in June 7 of which were new reads, and 6 that we re-reads. I re-read to get myself out of a slump.

My favorite June reads were the Brutal Boys of SIN series by Leila James. They were just the right fit for my mood this month. Gotta love a why choose with morally grey characters who you can’t help but fall for.

Summer seems to always be a little slower for me reading wise. So many activities to cram into a short period of time.

This series was absolutely SINtillating.

I started reading this author because she came highly recommended from one of my favorite people , and I was in the mood for a dark romance. What I didn’t expect was 3 interconnected series to be linked together and for it all to just f**king work.

I have my favorites from every trilogy, Cannon from Hawthorne Hall, Bear is my fave Bainbridge Boy and Wilder is my broken boy of SIN.

If you are in the mood for spicy, why choose naughtiness with a little suspense thrown in the mix, you should check these out.

Going in (mostly) blind. I’ve been following Blane for a while, and had been eager to read this book, but couldn’t get the timing quite right or any sooner.

LANCE

Ty Mother-effing-Lancaster.
The cocky, charismatic president of Sigma Alpha.
And most importantly, my frat rival.
I'm a fun, chill guy, but around Ty, all I can think about is winning.
Last year, his frat beat ours in the annual TaskFrat challenges, and even though I'm known for becoming Alpha Theta Mu's prez as a joke, I take my responsibility to my guys seriously.
I refuse to let those fratholes take us down again.
Unfortunately, the only thing bigger than Ty's inflated ego is his competitive spirit.
That should be a good enough reason for me to stay focused on defeating him, but soon, I discover there's a spark between us.
Not something a straight guy should be saying about his straight rival.
It's weird, confusing...and surprisingly hot.
I'm curious, and apparently, he is too.
Living the Greek life with my buddies, we're always joking about what happens when you frat around.
Now Ty and I are about to find out.

A while ago recommended Leila James to me. Fine whatever, a trilogy, great no problems. There are big problems because I f**king love them all.

Also, while I was reading this I gave her 3 predictions about a quarter of the way through, I am currently 1/3 and I am about to start Beckham so I can't wait to see what else I learn.

If you haven't read Leila James, stop sleeping. I love all of her broken boys.

A little road trip up to watch my nephew play baseball in Minocqua and I happened upon Main St in Stevens Point Wisconsin. What did I discover there? 3 beautiful bookstores offering such a vastly different experience yet nourishing a booklover's soul.

My favorite was , which instantly felt like a place I wish I could visit more often and wasn’t 2 hours away from home.

I went in not as a but strictly as a reader and was bright, open, q***r friendly and tbh lacking in Suriel merch. I’ve been on the prowl for Suriel merch for a while, it’s a struggle.

It seriously felt like going to the animal shelter, I wanted to take all the books home. Instead I came home with 3 and a new favorite t-shirt. I still need to finish my Monsters and Muses collection, here’s hoping.
