MIA CONSALVI: SANDWICH SOFTBALL
Mia Consalvi: A Legacy of Leadership, Excellence and Heart

Some athletes leave a mark with statistics. Others leave a legacy with leadership, resilience and the impact they have on everyone around them. For Sandwich High School standout Mia Consalvi, she accomplished both.

A member of the Sandwich High School Class of 2026 located in Sandwich, MA, Mia Consalvi closed out one of the most accomplished softball careers in program history and now prepares to continue her academic and athletic journey at NCAA Division 1 University of New Haven, where she will join the Chargers softball program in 2027.

Her high school career numbers place her among the elite to ever wear a Sandwich uniform. Over five varsity seasons, Mia Consalvi compiled school hall-of-fame caliber production with:
· 157 career hits
· 127 career RBIs
· 152 career runs scored
· 104 stolen bases

Those numbers alone tell the story of a dynamic player who impacted every game. But those closest to the program know her value reached far beyond the stat sheet.

Mia Consalvi began her varsity career as an eighth grader starting in centerfield before transitioning to shortstop during her sophomore season. Her versatility, athleticism and softball IQ made her one of the premier players on the South Shore and Cape Cod region throughout her career. At the collegiate level, she is projected to return to the outfield for the University of New Haven Chargers.

While her on-field success was remarkable, it was her leadership and character that defined her career.
“Mia is a great kid,” said University of New Haven Head Softball Coach Kelly Patterson. “We recruited her not just because of her production numbers, but also because of her positive vibe. She brings so much joy to the game and makes everyone around her feel good.”

That positivity was forged through adversity.

Mia Consalvi’s five-year varsity career was anything but easy. There were seasons when Sandwich lacked the pitching depth to compete consistently. There were difficult years when the wins did not reflect the effort the program gave daily. Yet through every challenge, Mia Consalvi remained steady.

The girls that were seniors when she was a sophomore gave everything they had. They played incredibly hard even when the record wasn’t what they wanted. Mia learned a lot from those girls.

Eventually, Mia Consalvi became that same leader for the next generation.

Over the final two seasons of her career, Sandwich relied on an incredibly young battery that featured seventh and eighth grade players. Mia Consalvi embraced the responsibility of leading the program through those growing pains while setting the standard for work ethic, attitude and competitiveness.

Parents within the program often spoke about how younger players looked up to her, admiring not just her talent but the way she carried herself every day.

Her leadership helped guide Sandwich High School to a historic 18-4 record during the 2026 season — widely considered the best season in program history.

Mia Consalvi also has played for several years with the Mass Dynamites Club Softball program making her mark as a valuable team player and supporter of her teammates.

Off the field, Mia Consalvi excelled in the classroom as an AP-level honor roll student. At the University of New Haven, she plans to major in forensic science and criminal justice, continuing to build a future that matches the discipline and determination she displayed as an athlete.

Athletic excellence also runs deep within the Consalvi family.

Her mother, Carrie Consalvi, is well accomplished softball figure in Massachusetts softball history. A three-time All-American catcher at Bridgewater State University, Carrie became a Bridgewater State Hall of Famer after helping lead the Bears to two NCAA Division III College World Series appearances. She later served as head coach of the Taunton High School softball program, leading the Tigers to Division 1 Massachusetts state championships in 2021 and 2022. Today, she continues contributing to the sport through the Mass Dynamites club softball organization while also working professionally as a Nurse Practitioner.

Her father, Dave Consalvi, was also a standout athlete, playing safety for the Bridgewater State University football program and contributing to the school’s historic undefeated 1999 team — the first unbeaten football team in school history.

Both parents Carrie and Dave Consalvi have been there every step of the way not skipping a beat with dedication and support throughout Mia Consalvi’s entire softball career with an endless number of memories made for a lifetime for the Consalvi family.

With that lineage comes high expectations, but Mia Consalvi built her own path and identity through relentless work, humility and consistency.

Mia Consalvi leaves Sandwich High School not only as one of the most productive softball players the program has ever seen, but also as one of its most respected leaders.

Now, the next chapter begins.

And if her high school career proved anything, it is that Mia Consalvi’s story is still just getting started.

Mia Consalvi’s Final Total High School Career Varsity Softball Stats:
