As we said goodbye to New Jersey yesterday and embarked on this new chapter I thought about what I’d miss and what I’m leaving behind.
See, no matter what you read online, the dog world is a tightly knit community. It’s full of real people with real lives who do everything for their dogs and the sports they love. And when you meet people that’s exactly what you feel when talking to them.
I consider myself fortunate having met people in certain places which have shaped the past 2 years and allowed me to do what I love - to document people’s journeys with their dog across their lives and including sports.
The first step is always the hardest because a lot of times when you’re looking for a foot in the door, people need to see what good photos can look like so they can share your vision. So they can understand what it is that you can do for them. That’s why I’ve always prioritized relationships with venues and business owners because without them none of these events would happen.

These are all folks who dedicate their time to making things happen so that folks can enjoy sports with their dogs. And if you’re not sure who they are and what they do, start a conversation, they’re the nicest people you’ll meet!
It’ll take me a while to set up a similar network here in PA now but I’m excited for what lies ahead and where it takes me.
So this is goodbye for now but I’ll be doing some trials back in NJ at some point in the future since I have so many favorite dogs and people!
I’m gonna do a separate post on where things stand with editing and galleries.
Thank you to everyone who trusted me to let me do my thing. Anyone who purchased photos, started a conversation!
