Dr. Kim Nugent trains inmates to become mentors for other inmates. Even men who will never leave prison.

Because purpose doesn't require freedom. It requires believing you can make a difference.

When inmates started mentoring each other, rule violations dropped 98%. Guards started seeing them differently. Families noticed changes. Men with nothing to lose found something to live for.

Former Secret Service Special Agent Brad Beeler gave more criminal polygraph exams than anyone in history.

Here's his trick for catching someone exaggerating or lying: Let them tell their story.

Then repeat it back as a yes/no statement.
"So you hit 47 home runs your senior year?"

Watch what happens.

If they're lying, they'll correct themselves:
"Well, I don't remember exactly how many, but it was a lot."

The spotlight makes them hedge.

Brad says: "You do this with your kids. You do this with your coworkers. And the vast majority of the time, if they're not honest, they will correct the statement."
