Last night we went through a thunderstorm ⛈️ on the way home from dinner in Oldenburg. The Sun ☀️ was still out and presenting a beautiful Sunset 🌅 that I didn’t capture, and there was a rainbow 🌈 my Mom saw right next to the lightning ⚡️! This pic isn’t great as we were going down the highway and the car has tinted windows, but it looks like it’s wearing a Witch hat!!!

Isn’t it crazy how the weather can have such an impact on your mood?! With this heat we have had and the rain before that, I haven’t been very motivated to do much of anything. Looks like today isn’t going to be as hot as they originally predicted and tonight down to the lower 60s! Maybe a window open kind of night!! Tomorrow is looking like it’s going to be picture perfect and I’m ready. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve been able to get out for photography and really enjoying nature. I plan to do that tomorrow as much as possible!!! I feel my energy transforming as I type.

As I was getting ready to leave for the day and cleaning up from breakfast, my new deck of cards that I hadn’t even opened yet, called to me and I was told to pull cards for us.

The message I received is that we must focus on how we want to experience life as our abundance is directly related and affected by that. Our current and future values, beliefs and comfort zone will dictate what we expand and what values we receive.

These cards are beautiful. Anyone that knows me knows I don’t read Tarot under the rules of Tarot as that would mean abiding by the rules haha. I read them intuitively.

I don’t think enough people are taking about the passing of Gloria Steinem. What an icon and amazing woman. I could only hope to be at least a little like her. As I know we have established, I loathe being told what to do. I despise structure and will dig my heels in every time. Over the last 15 yrs, I have taken every step to insulate myself from anyone or anything having authority over me because that’s not why we are here!! When are the rest of you going to realize that nobody has a right to tell you what to do? We have allowed others to tell us what to do for far too long. I mean why?! It’s mind blowing to me that as intelligent as the Human race can be we can also be that easily controlled.

Don’t mind me as I’ll be out here in nature living my life the way I want to live my life and the way I was meant to live my life. Stand up for yourself and those around you and take care of each other no matter what! We have to because nobody is coming to save us.

I know the last few days I have struggled with the energy as have a lot of you. But yesterday was a great day spent with a good friend for lunch and my massage therapy and not on line!!!! It was just what I needed. Now to not get myself into doom scrolling and to focus on preserving food and making homemade gifts for loved ones.

The 🌔 is in Ta**us ♉️ today. No wonder I’m all up in my feels about what I value and making sure I feel stability and security with beautiful energy. I’m not feeling inspirational at all. The level of hate all around me is crippling. I don’t know what has happened to those full of so much judgement and hate, but I can’t be around it. I’m protecting my energy and mental stability at all costs. So don’t mind me while I’m just out here with the animals and plants.

You know Nature doesn’t care about Monday, Friday or any of the man determined “days” in between. It doesn’t care about the minutes or hours. All of that is made up for control. We are conditioned from birth to live life a certain way that is not natural. What really matters is the Sun and the Seasons. Are you paying attention to the catastrophes happening in Nature right now? The unfathomable flooding, droughts, fires, tornadoes and earthquakes? I am. This Pisces ♓️ Full Moon 🌕 and Eclipse has really revealed some illusions for me. I’m not sure about secrets. But definitely illusions. And for me personally, it’s around structures and relationships. But since I know about my energy and what I chose to learn and heal in this lifetime, I’m no longer surprised by what transpires. I’m good with it. I no longer feel the need to prove my value to anyone, especially those that are not truly my friends.

Yesterday I was talking to my true friend, Shay, about our day in the creek the day before. I was talking to her about the symbolism of the Toads 🐸 and Mushrooms 🍄. As I was talking through it, I had another epiphany!! I’m not just supposed to inspire people through my photography and love of nature. I’m supposed to inspire them through the Spiritual symbolism of what I’m drawn to photograph! I’ve been led to look up the Spiritual meanings of my subjects and to share them for months now. And I now know why. I changed the name of my Team Stephanie cancer page back in 2014 to Stephanie Getz - Thru the Eyes of a Survivor to transition from the story of my cancer journey to my photography journey. If you don’t follow me on that page, I share some of the same things but usually in different context.

Thursday I spent the afternoon at Governor Bebb Metro Park with Shay and Colleen. We played in the creek and had a picnic with the relaxing sound of the cleansing water in the background. The baby Toads were all around us symbolizing fresh starts, personal growth and hidden potential.

On our way out, Shay noticed these Mushrooms that I now believe to be Puffballs. A cluster of Puffball Mushrooms serves as a powerful spiritual message focused on emotional release, communal abundance, and hidden networks of support. They are a strong symbol of release as they are known for their exhale of smoke like spores when touched as they mature.

Since this was right before the Pisces ♓️ Full Moon 🌕 and Lunar Eclipse, it was so symbolically fitting for exhaling and releasing to allow the new beginnings to come forth. I for one had definite illusions and secrets revealed during the Eclipse! Comment below if you did as well!
