“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away,” the company said. “One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”

Hogan is widely credited for helping to turn professional wrestling from a regional attraction to a mainstream phenomenon in the 1980s.

SAD NEWS: we’ve lost a rock and TV legend, the Godfather of Heavy Metal, Ozzy Osbourne. He had health issues including a Parkinson’s diagnosis. July 5th was his final performance, at a UK concert reuniting with Black Sabbath. He gained a whole new audience in the 2000s on the MTV reality show The Osbournes. His accolades are numerous, including star, two time inductee, Grammy, WWE Hall Of Fame inductee, selling over 100 million albums and rocking the lives of millions of fans.
