What has "Dinner Partners" taught you since you started listening (presumably against your will)?

As Back To School Murder Month draws to a close, we ask you, dear Party People, what is something you've learned from our dear Christopher and Eric either this year or any year since they started blather -- I mean, *ahem* addressing you by way of their podcasting microphones? Perhaps it was a lesson in criminal justice. Or maybe you walked away from a certain episode never to share a long car ride with one of them after they'd eaten lunch. Whatever the revelation, be it large or small, we want to hear about it below.

Enlightendly Yours,
Shea Butters

PS I learned always to demand a copy of an employer's insurance policy before you begin working with them. I shall explain how another time.

🍎Do you wish you'd gone to school with Anne Rice? ✨

Christopher and Eric conclude Back to School Murder Month with a brief visit to the high school and college years of beloved Premiere Party Person Anne Rice, a time when she shrugged off academic constraints to pursue her own artistic passions while simultaneously falling in love with the man we all know today as Christopher’s dad. Then it’s time to serve up the conclusion of the new Netflix series THE IDAHO MURDERS: COLLEGE NIGHTMARE on the new podcast episode of "Dinner Partners"

This is Christopher. I don’t allow Shea Butters, our man”servant”, to do these video posts because he edits them to make it sound like we believe in the Loch Ness Monster or participate in duck hunts. Now that the producers have told me to fix my collar, Eric Shaw Quinn and I are back with his incisively hot take on “The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare” on Netflix and the startling comparison he drew to the travesty of justice that is the murder of Robert Wone, discussed on one of our previous podcasts.

❄ Have you managed to recover from our last episode yet? 🚨

If the comments on our last post are any indication, you all are riveted by Christopher and Eric's first serving of the new Netflix series about the Idaho college murders.

What questions are you burning to have answered in this weekend's next installment? Why do you think so many people have become obsessed with this case? Your hosts have given you their answers. Now they'd very much like to hear yours.

Obsessively Yours,

Were you as captivated by this case as the rest of the country?

At long last, Christopher and Eric tackle one of the most horrifying and talked about true crime stories in recent memory, the vicious slaying of four Idaho college students as they slept. The new podcast episode of "Dinner Partners" serves up the new Netflix series THE IDAHO MURDERS: COLLEGE NIGHTMARE the basis for the first in this two-part True Crime Special Edition. Your hosts tackle the devastating nature of the crime, the enduring mystery around why it took so long for the survivors to call for help and the disgraceful level of online speculation that threatened to throw the investigation off course.

This is Christopher. (Shea is on probation..I mean vacation.) In which and I attempt to discuss what we learned from this week’s new episode of our podcast “Dinner Partners” and the surprising true crime series we discuss, “Murder 101” on . In addition, Eric sort of wears his tortoiseshell glasses the entire time and no one in the studio advises me my collar needs fixing.

🍎 Who was your favorite teacher?📚

The latest episode of "Dinner Partners" serves up a surprisingly moving tale of an innovative and loving Appalachia high school teacher who unlocks his students' capacity for empathy by way of a true crime case.

So tell us about the teacher who influenced you in the most positive way.

Instructingly Yours,
Shea Butters

🍎 Do you think high schoolers are capable of solving a murder? 🚨

Yours hosts Christopher Rice and Eric Shaw Quinn are left surprised and more than a little moved by this unconventional series about a group of rural high schoolers in Appalachia who take it upon themselves to find justice for the forgotten victims of a possible serial killer. MURDER 101 isn’t your typical true crime series, and the inspiring educator at its center isn’t your typical teacher. Back To School Murder Month continues.

🎁Tell us about one of your favorite gifts, dear Party People! 💪

It was Christmas in July recently in the Dinner Partners studio. Below you'll see the magical moment BEFORE Master Christopher realized the Nicholas Galitzine inspired He Man action figure Master Eric brought to the studio was actually a gift for Christopher! That's why he's smiling placidly like someone at a ribbon cutting for a new West Hollywood tanning salon. We can assure you the moment that followed was all torn packaging and grotesque growls.

If you haven't sampled the most recent episode, you're yet to enjoy your hosts tirade about how the 'Masters of the Universe' film committed "anti-gay violence" by repeatedly returning Mr. Galatzine to his less revealing, non-cod piece featuring outfit.

But enough about these old horn -- I mean, your hosts. Let's hear about your favorite gift that you've ever received. Perhaps it was as unexpected as this now suspiciously missing action figure.

Eternially Yours,
Shea "I Look Great In British Racing Green" Butters

It appears our gentlemanish hosts are being allowed out of the studio and down to San Diego. I, of course, am not being permitted to attend the first California screening of 'My Brother's Killer', the documentary from director Rachel Mason that features Christopher and Eric's contributions to finding justice for Billy Newton. Will you be there? It's this Friday August 21st at 9:15 pm at the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego's Balboa Park as part of FilmOut San Diego. In a rare moment of deference to my incorrigible employers, I must say when they first started raising awareness back in 2020 of Mr. London's long unsolved murder in 1990, I never thought so much progress would be made so swiftly and by such an incredible and diverse group of investigators.
