What does it mean to celebrate a culture after trying to destroy it?

In this new editorial for Hollywoodland News, Regina Luz Jordan looks at the long arc of cultural erasure in America, from the internment of Japanese Americans in 1942 to modern day ICE raids in Los Angeles. She also share what her family remembered as a child watching his Japanese Catholic classmates disappear, and why our communities continue to preserve truth when institutions try to rewrite it.

Fourteen years after her death, we’re still grieving Amy Winehouse and we still haven’t reckoned with how she was failed.

She didn’t just die from addiction. She died from being consumed, mocked, marketed and pushed until she broke.

In this personal editorial, Regina Luz Jordan reflects not just on Amy’s legacy but on what it means to love someone through addiction. This is a story about grief, silence, boundaries and the cruel industry that packages female suffering as art.

“Keeping powerful men comfortable is the lock on the Epstein files.”

This isn’t a conspiracy. It’s a system.

The Epstein Files reveal what survivors already know too well: predators don’t operate in a vacuum. They are protected by power, proximity and silence.

This story still matters because survivors deserve justice, because abusers are still being protected and because institutions are still deciding whose pain is profitable and whose truth is disposable.

At the Hollywoodland News, we are run by women who are powered and empowered and so, yeah, this is personal. Our founder, Regina Luz Jordan, shares a openly honest survivor's perspective on why the Epstein Files matter. If you're still focused on who’s “on the list” instead of asking why no one stopped him, have the day you voted for.

Howard Hughes’ Hell’s Angels turned 95 this year and it is often celebrated as a cinematic milestone. But like so many films, in the Golden Age of Hollywood, behind the hype, four men died making this film. Greta Nissen, the original lead, was fired and erased because of her accent. Jean Harlow was pushed into the spotlight as a teenage replacement and marketed like a product.

This movie was a spectacle of control and in Howard Hughes' world, this wasn't uncommon. Hollywood rewarded recklessness, erased immigrant women, filmed the same movie twice and helped Hollywood build a system that protected power above people. This is still happening today and Hell's Angels helped to set that precedent 95 years ago.

At Hollywoodland News, we don’t let those stories fade. We dig them up. Regina Luz Jordan takes us through Howard Hughes' Hell's Angels problematic legacy:
