Thanks for making the 2025 Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids unforgettable! We had a blast with everyone who joined us and we’re already excited for Tumbleweeds 2026. Here are a few highlights from this year’s fest:

⭐ FILMS ⭐
This year’s theme, Bringing Stories to Life, celebrated the magic of friendship, teamwork, and community. Audiences enjoyed a colorful lineup of free, globally diverse films. Congrats to I ACCIDENTALLY WROTE A BOOK—this year’s Audience Award winner!

⭐ WORKSHOPS ⭐
Creativity took center stage in our hands-on festival workshops, where young minds explored the world of filmmaking! Young storytellers got hands-on in screenwriting, animation, podcasting, and more.

⭐ CLUBHOUSE ⭐
Our free Tumbleweeds Clubhouse was packed with crafts, activities, and immersive experiences for the whole family. Special thanks to our amazing local partners and artists who brought the space to life with activities like face painting, VR filmmaking, crafts, and more.

⭐ KIDS FILM COMPETITION ⭐
Friday night’s Kids Film Competition showcased the incredible talent of young creators from across the state! Students K–8 wowed us with their original short films and took home prizes at the awards ceremony.

⭐ FESTIVAL FIELD TRIPS ⭐
Schools from across Utah joined us for field trips that went beyond movie-watching, they encouraged imagination, creativity and career curiosity.

★ FILM SCREENINGS ★
All movie tickets are FREE thanks to our partnership with The County Library! To attend a film screening, we recommend visitors to reserve tickets in advance online through our website. Tickets will also be available to reserve onsite. Seating is first come, first served, and concessions will be available for purchase. All films are family-friendly—check our lineup for age recommendations.

★ CLUBHOUSE ACTIVITIES ★
Explore the Tumbleweeds Clubhouse in the Viridian lobby! All activities and booths are FREE and open to the public—no tickets needed.

★ WORKSHOPS ★
Festival Workshops are $25 per child and tailored for kids of varying age groups. Spots are limited and advance registration is required via our website.

★ FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILMS WITH SUBTITLES ★
To enhance our young viewers’ appreciation of foreign-language movies, most films are screened in their original language with English subtitles. Individual headsets will be available with subtitle readers reading the subtitles aloud to increase each child’s comprehension.
