Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Adaptation
To mark the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth, Netflix is bringing us a brand-new adaptation of Pride and Prejudice – already being described as a “once-in-a-lifetime” series.
The scripts come from Dolly Alderton (Everything I Know About Love), who calls Austen’s novel “the blueprint for romantic comedy”. The cast is equally dazzling, with Olivia Colman, Jack Lowden (Slow Horses), Rufus Sewell (The Diplomat), and Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve) among the confirmed names.
📺 Filming begins later this year, with the series expected to land on Netflix in 2026.

A Very English Scandal – Hugh Grant Shines in Russell T. Davies’ Political Drama
Written by Russell T. Davies, A Very English Scandal dives into the hypocrisy of the English class system through the true story of the 1970s scandal that destroyed Liberal Party leader Jeremy Thorpe.
Thorpe (played brilliantly by Hugh Grant) secretly embarked on an affair with Norman Scott (Ben Whishaw) at a time when homosexuality was still illegal. When the relationship threatened his career, Thorpe attempted to cover it up – a decision that led to explosive revelations, a high-profile trial, and the collapse of his reputation.
🎬 A sharp, gripping drama about politics, power, and prejudice, A Very English Scandal is available now on Prime Video.

Vicky Pattison has shared a candid look at her Strictly Come Dancing journey, calling the launch “the worst experience of my life.”

She admitted breaking down in tears for three hours before filming, feeling out of place alongside professional dancers she described as “carved by angels.” Speaking on Angela Scanlon’s Get a Grip podcast, Vicky also joked about her outfit’s “special girdle,” saying it made her feel like a “sausage in a skin.”

Despite words of encouragement from Angela Scanlon, nerves overwhelmed her before she even stepped onto the dancefloor.

Do you think nerves play a bigger role than talent when stars take on Strictly?
