Gulf to Plate Community Supper, subtitled "Stand Up (and eat up) for Gulf Waters" will be Aug. 5 at the Walter Anderson Museum in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The event pays homage to the diversity of the Southern coast and encourages cooperation to protect the bounty of the Gulf waters. Enjoy foods prepared by 2019 James Beard Foundation's Best Chef South Chef Vishwesh Bhatt of SNACKBAR (Oxford, MS) and James Beard semi-finalist Chef Alex Perry of Vestige (Ocean Springs, MS), along with Chef Michael Paoletti and Pastry Chef Stephanie Paoletti.

The Alabama State Parks will celebrate 200 years of Alabama statehood on the 200th day of 2019 – Friday, July 19 – by declaring it Bicentennial Day at Alabama State Parks.
