Residents in Haverhill, Massachusetts, say a new Dunkin’ bakery facility producing up to 1 million donuts per day has left nearby neighborhoods with a persistent fried-dough smell. One resident said the odor has lingered for months and has become distracting inside their home.
While company representatives say the facility meets all regulatory standards, city officials confirm some residents have raised air-quality concerns. Health inspectors are expected to review the site, and the issue is scheduled to return to the city council for further discussion.
