Oratile Nowe sets another NATIONAL RECORD at the 2025 Ostrava Golden Spike.

She clocked 1:57.49 NR and finished behind her training mate Prudence Sekgodiso 🇿🇦 who won the race in 1:57.16s MR.

Her previous record of 1:58.47 was set at Kip Keino Classic Continental Tour on the 31st May 2025.

She always delivers whenever she enters the Track

𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗺 𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳?

Last year, at Paris Diamond League, Tshepiso Masalela finished last with a time of 1:44.96s in a race which saw eight (8) athletes run PB's and four (4) National Records. The race was won by Djamel Sedjati in 1:41.56 NR WL PB, followed by Emmanuel Wanyonyi in 1:41.58 PB and Gabriel Tual with 1:41.61 NR PB.

Masalela has declared this season as his "greatest year" and thus far he has delivered electrifying performances. Machine has produced three (3) PB's so far: 1:42.70 🔥, 3:30.71 NR 🔥 and 7:58.99 🔥 in the men's 800m, 1500m and 3000m respectively.

Masalela is now the only man in the world to run faster than 8:00.0 in the 3000m, faster than 3:35.0 in the 1500m and faster than 1:43.00 in the 800m

He will line up tomorrow in the men's 800m at Meeting De Paris against 🇰🇪's Wyclife Kinyamal, 🇩🇿's Slimane Moula, 🇺🇲's Bryce Hoppel just to mention but a few.

Machine is on the hunt, can he reclaim back his World Lead from Emmanuel Wanyonyi 🇰🇪 and redeem himself?

European Athletics Circuit Debut For Lee Eppie

Eppie has stepped out of the comfort zone to chase his dream at a very different continent, Eppie kick started his first individual European race at the Flanders Cup VS on the 7th June at Belgium 🇧🇪where he stormed to victory in 46.08s.

Seven (7) days down the line, he appeared at the Gouden Spike in Netherlands 🇱🇺 where he was crowned the 2025 Gouden Spike Champion after crossing the finish line ahead of everyone in 45.27s (Watch the video below 🎥)

So far, Eppie has run 8 individual races and he has won 6/8.

He trains under Coach Chippa with Collen Kebinatshipi, Thabang Mongathipa just to mention a few.

Oratile Nowe to make Diamond League debut in Stockholm today, June 15th 2025.

The middle distance sensation is set to race in the women's 800m event at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium at 1931hrs.

Nowe has dominated headlines with her exceptional performances this season. The Mahalapye native, has run six (6) 800m races this season and she managed to achieve sub 2 minutes in five(5) of those races and she has run faster than her previous 800m National Record four (4) times in a row this campaign. Her latest race was on the 9th June at the FBK Games in Netherlands 🇱🇺 where she finished 2nd in 1:59.58.

Oratile Nowe featured at the Paris Olympics as the only Bw female rep at the Games and so far she is the only woman who has achieved the Tokyo 25 World Athletics Championships qualification standard.

Nowe, who trains in Pretoria under Sepeng Athletics Project has achieved remarkable feats ever since she joined the camp. She currently holds three (3) National Record in the 800m, 1000m and 1500m.

Her teammate, Kethobogile Haingura who dropped a personal best on the 6th event of the diamond league circuit will also feature in the men's 800m at 1848hrs. Haingura will line up against formidable opponents in 🇰🇪's Emmanuel Wanyonyi, 🇩🇿's Djamel Sedjati 🇺🇲's Bryce Hoppel and 🇨🇵's Gabriel Tual just to mention but a few.
