Not long after purchasing their condominium on Alton Road, a couple of New Yorkers called on Jessica Jaegger upon discovering her design studio on Instagram. Their directive was succinct: “Turn these 2,145 square feet of space into a refined pied-à-terre.”

“Their desire was for a tranquil, hotel-like retreat that would be serene and enveloping,” says Jaegger. “They wanted a space defined by organic materials, layered textures, and a soft-sand palette punctuated with thoughtful accents.”

Two North Carolina entrepreneurs have gleaned a thing or two from the frenetic hospitality biz, including the chaos that comes with renovating and building two homes nearly back-to-back. Their latest undertaking—a 9,190-square-foot renovation—encountered multiple nightmares once the walls started to come down. Lucky for them, they purchased the vacation dwelling for its exceptional —with 320 feet of waterfront on two sides, the place showcases the vast tidal estuary known as the Lagoon, which merges with the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Even luckier still was having designers Allison Paladino and Zita Rudd as part of their renovation team.

Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the Jade Signature tower in is known for its distinctively angled, flow-through silhouette, a feature that provides the building with water views to the east and west. It was these coveted panoramas and Pritzker-caliber architecture that would inspire designers Cristina and Monica Souza when they were hired to the of a 4,346-square-foot residence within the 57-story high-rise.

“The building’s fluid, organic language establishes its relationship with the ocean, which was a central element in our design,” says Cristina. “We wanted the interiors to reflect the structure’s continuity and effortless flow, so every decision, from the shades we used to the scale of the furniture, was made to enhance that connection to the water.”

🤗👏🏼 It’s a wonderful day to share that the BRAND NEW Miami is 👏🏼🤗

You will find the latest and greatest top and concepts. There’s so much to discover so let’s kick things off with the cover story, “A Case for Contemporary” ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Tucked into the peaceful neighborhood of Olympia Heights in Southwest , a sprawling, modernist house that spans approximately 7,000 square feet represents the latest finely crafted project in the rather-packed portfolio of designers Rafaela Simoes and Laila Colvin of 2id Interiors (2id Interiors - Miami).

“We collaborated closely with the clients and architect Danny Sorogon to ensure a cohesive dialogue between architecture and interiors from the very beginning,” says Simoes. “Our design was guided by a contemporary aesthetic and warm, natural elements that balance clean lines with inviting textures.”

After consulting with ARCO, the house’s builder, the design team created a floor plan to maximize openness and fluidity between spaces, particularly in the main living areas, where double-height ceilings enhance the sense of volume and light. Carefully curated, the furnishings were selected to complement the architecture, favoring low-profile silhouettes, neutral palettes, and tactile materials. “Natural woods, stone surfaces, and soft textiles were used throughout to create a sense of warmth and continuity,” notes Colvin. “Custom-designed elements, including millwork, built-in cabinetry, and integrated shelving, play a key role in defining the spaces while maintaining a clean, cohesive look.”

There’s something for everyone’s style in the latest issue of , including in the feature article, “Contrasting Stories,” where you’ll get both sides of this :

When Washington, D.C.-based designer Paul Sherrill (Solis Betancourt & Sherrill) needs a recharge, he heads to his 1,000-square-foot apartment overlooking Clear Lake in . Once there, a few days of Florida light usually do the trick, a testament to Sherrill’s abilities as a designer and his respect for architecture, memory, and restraint.

“I was originally drawn to the structure itself and loved the high ceilings and the texture of the exposed concrete ceiling and structural piers,” says Sherrill of his retreat. “The loft-like interior, defined by 10-foot exposed concrete ceilings, reminded me of Italian brutalist architecture from the 1970s, and that set the tone for the design approach.”

Said approach yielded a home that’s both loft-like modern and classically elegant, populated by mid-century modern elements paired with exquisite antiques and Roman motifs.

One of the most significant transformations involved the kitchen. Originally positioned front and center upon entry, where it felt too visually dominant, Sherrill simplified the space by having the cabinetry and backsplash painted in a cinder-colored satin enamel and reducing the island to a clean cube clad in marble. “It is now a monolithic, bold statement that adds immediate gravitas as one enters the home,” he says.

Addressing the growing demand for high-performance luxury textiles, Rubelli recently introduced its 2026 Luce collection, a line of fabrics that reflect and filter light with weaves and materials that control light direction. Luce is divided into three categories that cover the entire home: indoor, outdoor, and wallcoverings. The inside fabrics include silk-sheened satin and jacquard in deep colors. The alfresco options are made of solution-dyed acrylic and nod to the Mediterranean—plus they’re designed to glow at sunset. Wallcoverings come in either glossy or textured versions inspired by natural fibers. Conceived by Italian designers Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin of Formafantasma in Amsterdam, the collection brings together technical rigor, chromatic depth, and a dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces.

After visiting close friends and family, a couple from California fell so hard for the charms of , they invested in a small cottage as a way to test how much they loved vacationing in the area. Over the years, their love only grew stronger, so they took a leap of faith by purchasing a prime spot of land between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean and built a 5,500-square-foot house that’s now their official second residence.

Designed by renowned New York architect David Neff (David Neff, Architect), the home embodies a distinctive Bermudian style with a crisp white exterior, ornate gables, steep chimneys, and covered walkways. Known for his unexpected layouts, Neff created the U-shaped dwelling with a deep backyard, positioning the living room off to one side and relocating the garage to a rear corner of the property. Working closely alongside the architect and the homeowners, Palm Beach interior designer Jennifer Garrigues ensured a seamless collaboration.
