Halsey performed at Spotify for Creators’ event as of late and reminded people in the audience never to collaborate with an ex-boyfriend, and even told Spotify to hang a plaque in her honor.

Sixxgoblin was born on December 13th 2017, not as an active youtube page but as a simple premium membership which I used for music on the go.
The actual first kickings of the goblin happened back in 2021 at the height of the pandemic.

When alot of people were experiencing a great shift in career, I frustratingly recognized that my job wasn't worth my full potential.
And I didn't want to just shift to a new "job", where it was the same sort of power structures and the uninspired languid, plodding existence, regurgitating... etc etc, I just knew I needed to start making something.

After mic dropping an unpaid responsibility at work, my attempt to learn c++ (coding) for game design, a pyramid scheme and a computer animation hobby, I settled into experimenting with different filters within the viva video editing software, making strange images, set to an unplugged electric guitar.

From there I tried my hand and making full form gaming gaming videos for youtube because it felt like it would be easy to write for, you just talk about the game.
But given I had maybe 18 subscribers, the crickets were so deafening, I was discouraged and moved my focus to Facebook, where short form content was getting alot of attention and at the time, meta had promised payment to creators, only once you get in there and you start publishing, they keep moving the goal posts, turning you into a slave.

I kept going because I had built a following there but as time went on, my followers weren't interacting with my content, new followers weren't following for content either, they were there for memes and the comment sections became cumbersome.

I wasn't making content, I was chit chatting on Facebook and posting memes, I disconnected from that as it wasn't productive and it had no future, I don't have forever for results.

With renewed focus, I knew that the only place in town that was going to ever pony up the dough, was gonna be youtube and if people weren't watching my stuff, it wasn't because I wasn't forcing enough people to watch it, it's because I was making dogs**t that wasn't worth watching, I had to do better.

I went back and knocked on the front door.
I'm still knocking on the front door.
I'll keep knocking on that front door and if you need me I'll be out front.

These boosts in subs feel good, but it is an ebb and flow and it will slow down, it already has.
Just means make something better.

Looking back through all my youtube videos is funny to me.
(alot is currently unlisted now, but I can see it.)
Given I've tried different genres on the fly all the long form videos stacked together show a strange progression.
I remember quantifying my shorts/reels as season 1 and season 2 at one point, beyond that it turned into projects when I went long form.
I've got 6 creepy tiktok reaction videos.
1 tiktok cringe, before I immediately pivot into my "The world is a walmart series" for 4 episodes.
Then I go back to my roots in shorts, start creating comic reels, get the best reaction of all the different stuff I've tried so far.
That's where I'm at now.
Where I've been.
These thumbnails crack me up though.
I'm just being a total tryhard in the picture, while trying to look as youtubery as possible.

That "the world is a walmart 2" thumbnail looks like I've just sat in s**t haha.
I guess I did haha.
