Originally formed in 2005 by Tim Doiron and April Mullen, WANGO Films is an innovative production company that specializes in bridging the gap between creative and commerce. Operating primarily as content providers, the dedicated WANGO team has the ability to see a project from concept to delivery, giving the finished product a genuine creative stamp, while always staying on budget and keeping the
financial and business side of the project perfectly intact. The company has produced five feature films and numerous music videos and online content to date, and has recently moved into the world of TV. WANGO’s first two feature film projects, the cult comedy ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS: THE WAY OF THE TOSSER and the retro comedy GRAVYTRAIN, were distributed by Alliance Films (eOne) and have garnered international acclaim and numerous awards from around the globe. The third WANGO Feature, DEAD BEFORE DAWN 3D, is the first fully Canadian Feature Film to be shot in Stereoscopic 3D and marks April Mullen of WANGO Films as the first female and youngest person ever to direct a 3D feature film. The film won the Perron Crystal Award in Liege, Belgium for its achievements in 3D, was Closing Night Film at the TIFF Next Wave Film Festival (Toronto International Film Festival for Teens) and sold around the globe. WANGO’s forth feature, the CSA Nominated, 88, was released by MILLENNIUM (Alchemy) in the US and has sold in over 25 territories around the world.
