✨ I Have to Share Something Special With You All… ✨
And I am apologizing ahead of time for the long read.
This year has already felt nothing short of miraculous, and I want to tell you why.
We launched our business in May, and by the grace of God we booked 11 weddings and events before hitting what is usually the “slow season” in this industry. I was grateful — truly grateful — and planned to spend this winter marketing, networking, and praying for anything that would help keep food on the table during these cold months.
I prayed specifically for work — even odd jobs or holiday catering — just something to keep us moving forward.
And then… in the span of three days, we booked two 200-person weddings. In the slow season. That alone felt like an answered prayer.
But then something happened that hit me right in the heart.
Many of you don’t know this, but I lost my grandmother — and she, along with my grandfather, are a huge part of why I started this business. They were like second parents to me. My dad lived with them while I was growing up, so I was with them constantly. Holidays were his favorite time of year. He worked at Ford, he loved Christmas, he played Santa every year… and this season is always the hardest for me because I miss him so deeply.
And then — out of nowhere — I got an email from Ford Motor Company asking if I could bring 10 people to work an event at the Ford World Headquarters.
Ford. My grandpa’s company. His pride and joy.
To me… that wasn’t coincidence. That was a sign. A reminder that they’re still with me, that they see what I’m building, and that they’re still uplifting me just like they did when they were here.
Getting this gig was huge. It required a $4 million insurance policy — and I only had $2 million — and somehow, some way, they pulled strings and made it happen. Tell me that isn’t God.
I am walking into that building as proud as ever — an O’Reilly at heart — head high, smiling like my grandfather always did. And I’m bringing some of the BEST industry talent and closest friends to stand beside me on this job. My prayer is that this opens doors for even more opportunities like this.
And I want to share this for one reason:
🌟 When you feel at your lowest… when things seem darkest… remember God’s timing is always perfect. 🌟
Exactly one year ago, I left the restaurant I worked at for years — I think what myself and many other people didn't realize was that I started working at that restaurant when I got out of recovery almost 16 years ago and have worked there since that is what I hyper focused on after getting sober so to leave there was scary. Now a mom. Where was I going to work what was I going to do that was all I ever knew it's where all my regular customers were. It was all I loved. The place that shaped so much of my life. When it ended, I felt like the world collapsed around me. Nothing made sense.
But God already had the plan written. I just had to trust Him.
People told me for years, “You should start your own business. You’d be an amazing boss.” And now here we are… not talking about it, but doing it.
✨ Booking weddings.
✨ Getting recommended by people I’ve never even met.
✨ Providing jobs with a livable wage.
✨ Building something with kindness, respect, and service at the center.
✨ Growing a team I am proud of.
And less than a year in, we’re getting opportunities like Ford Headquarters.
To every single person who tags me, mentions me, shares my posts — THANK YOU. You have no idea how much your support means. Small businesses survive because of people like you.
