I’m going to do one more clean out of birds before winter! These will be anything left over from the color pens I no longer breed, eggs I held onto and hatched, pretty birds I kept as pets but really don’t need…..
Here’s a list of what I will be posting, i will try to get pictures of individual birds and post. Understand that birds sell very fast so if you wait for pics, someone else may have already bought that particular bird! I go in order to be fair to everyone. I try to keep track of people looking for certain things but it’s very labor intensive so im just making this post. Please pm if you’re interested, birds are in Westminster Maryland so have transport arrangements in mind if you cant pick up. Birds are nicer than pet quality so if you are looking for an affordable girl as a pet- these are not the birds for you.
PAINT PAIR- yes, I’ll be letting ONE pair go this winter. One older laying pullet(has shown) and one paint cockerel with khaki leakage. She has outstanding wings and feet, dark eyes too! Hes young but has everything going for him to make a great breeder. He just has too much khaki leaksge to stay in my program😊
BLACK/LAV SPLIT PAIR- Black split pullet-gorgeous all around no defects and beautiful type! Had placed before multiple judges proven show bird-not cheap! Hes a black split boy with good everything EXCEPT comb. I wont lie, it’s ugly but you be the judge. The pullets comb is great!
BANTAM SALMON FAVEROLLES PAIR(S)- I’m parting with 2 pairs this winter. Both will consist of a hen(1.5 yrs), and a cockerel. Hen will be right out of my breeding pen which made the show birds from this season. Those offspring won multiple times including best trio, champ featherleg, champ bantam, reserve champ of show! Best of breed at Ohio nationals! I don’t sell many males so this is a rare chance to get this rare breed. I will continue to mentor the purchaser if they desire to set up a program and show.
OLD ENGLISH TRIO- cockerel and two pullets. Acclimated to living outside and not feral! Girls were raised indoors and are affectionate. Boy was raised by mom but was still handled. Girls are mauve and fawn silver duckwing. Boy is Silver duckwing with leakage. I will no longer be breeding or offering OE.
SERAMA PAIR(S)- Cockerel is a mauve mottled frizzle, girl is a beautiful choc/mauve mottled pullet. Currently living together. This is a flashy pair that will make beautiful babies and come from good lines. Will not be cheap. Potential to make a second pair with an exchequer cockerel if enough interest. I absolutely will not sell a lone female. I just dont have enough for myself right now. This pair is absilable because i was going to breed for tabletop fun colors. I have too much going on to focus on those.
CHICKS/Juviniles- Not sure colors and sexes yet. Most are straight run but i still need to sort them. Various ages and colors.
I’ve got too much on my breeding plate and have taken on multiple leadership positions with both the Silkie and Faverolles breed clubs. In addition I’m a state poultry tester and I continue to do seminars and mentor 4H families. Please be respectful of my time and dont reach out if you do not have the $ and transportation respurces for these birds. Ive had people drive 6 hours one way to pick up their birds in person! Trust me, they’re worth it❤️ You could easily walk into the show hall next spring with some of these birds 🏆
