About last night…Sometimes the best travel plan is knowing when to change the plan. ☔️➡️🍽️

We had visions of eating and drinking our way around EPCOT’s International Food & W**e Festival. Mother Nature had a different itinerary. 😂

The rain came down, the ponchos came out…and before long, we were completely drenched.

Could we have powered through? Sure. But sometimes traveling well means recognizing when Plan A just isn’t working.

So we changed course.

Back to the resort. Dry clothes. A reset. Then off to Disney Springs for a fantastic dinner at Paddlefish. And what could have felt like a “ruined” day turned into a really fun night together.

That’s one of the things I love about travel: the itinerary is a plan, not a promise.

Weather changes. Flights change. Energy levels change. Things close. Reservations shift. And sometimes the unexpected detour becomes part of the story you remember most.

A good trip isn’t one where everything goes exactly according to plan. It’s one where you’re able to adjust and keep enjoying the adventure. 💜

Cruise prep is officially underway! 💅⚓️

Because apparently packing, planning outfits, checking travel documents, and counting down the days wasn’t enough… we had to make sure our toes were cruise ready too. 😂

There’s something about those final little pre vacation rituals that makes it all suddenly feel REAL.

First up: 3 nights at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in a 2-Bedroom Preferred Villa 🏡✨

While I’m there, I’ll be hitting ALL 4 Walt Disney World parks:

Weekend recap…on a Tuesday?! 🤔 On Labor Day weekend, yes!

Friday our college kiddo came home for the weekend! 🥳 Saturday we headed off to the Great Minnesota Get Together, the Minnesota State Fair, for a few hours. The kids needed to get their favorite foods! 😁 We also celebrated our daughter’s 16th birthday! 🥹 Sunday was barn time and a trail ride with friends. And our extended Monday weekend day included a bit more barn time and getting things organized for the week and our upcoming travel to Walt Disney World and on the Disney Fantasy! 🥳

On the travel front, it’s been a busy start to September already! 🤩 One family wants to travel to Walt Disney World’s Epcot Food and W**e Festival in November to check out all it has to offer! 🥟🧀 A family that just got back from their Disney Cruise and wanted to use their placeholder for a British Isles cruise! 🗿 And a family that took advantage of opening day rates for Disney Cruise Lines latest itineraries and booked a 8 night Eastern Caribbean cruise! 🏝️

Flying into Monday with the weekend recap! 🎉

We’re kicking it off a little early since we dropped off our fist kiddo at University of Minnesota Duluth the middle of last week! 🥹 When we finally made it to the real weekend, we ventured to the Great Minnesota Get Together (Minnesota State Fair) with friends on Friday. We ate a bunch of the things, saw some stuff, and had a great time! Saturday we celebrated friends’ birthday with more good food and friends! 🤗 Sunday was filled with barn/horse show time and getting ready for the week ahead. 🐴

On the travel front, I’m helping one family that wants to check out Walt Disney World with their 2 young kiddos. 🥳 Also helping another family thinking about a spring break cruise and what would be the most fun for them between Disney Cruise Line itineraries. 🚢
