Weekend forecast
Saturday - A very minor threat of scattered showers throughout the day
Morning lows will start off on the mid 60s and daytime highs will be in the upper 70s. It will be partly to mostly cloudy . It will be a muggy day as dew points climb back into the middle 60s .
Watching for more rain/ storms moving it late night and into the early morning hours of Sunday . Probably going to see some flood watches pop up with sever thunderstorms as well. That mess will clear out prior to first light Sunday morning .
Sunday - After the overnight rain Sunday will turnout nice. Again morning lows and daytime highs ranging from mid 60s to upper 70s. Mostly cloudy skies will give way to plenty of sun to dry us out. Deep points will be high to start but drop throughout the day. Enjoy your weekend !

Currently areas to the west are getting hammered with rain. The immediate area stays relatively dry outside of a quick shower until around 4 or 5 this afternoon .

Looking over the ensembles of both the GFS and the EURO . After today, and tomorrow temperatures will struggle to hit 80 in and around the Lehigh Valley for the remainder of August .More importantly, dew points will range from the middle 50s to lower 60s at worst case. We are officially done with the worst of summer !! REJOICE !!!!

Storms now cranking up in areas to our west in areas such as Pottsville , Tamaqua , Lebanon , and Lancaster . There appears to be one severe cell that hits northern sections of the valley around 530 . Please be alert .

Severe thunderstorm watch for late this afternoon and evening.
Storms will begin rolling through around 6 as the cold front swings through. Anytime from 6 until maybe 9 .
Behind the front is a dramatic drop in temps.
More rain will make its way through the region again Thursday in the mid morning time frame of 8-9. Look for rain to taper off Thursday by 4 or 5 .
Friday looks dry but even more rain moves in early Saturday morning. Showers could linger into Sunday morning but as the day moves on it should dry out.
High temps are -
Thursday - mid to upper 50s
Friday - near 60
Saturday - near 50
Sunday - mid 50s
Memorial Day - near 60
Memorial Day is still questionable as far as rain . But I’d side with some morning showers with dryer conditions in the afternoon .
