Wednesday mid day update for next Tuesday , there is now disagreement , GFS and ICON models say yes but the EURO says no. The stage had been set , let’s see which one gets it right.

Rain will taper off late tonight . Warm air will invade the area as the low approaches tonight and into tomorrow , highs tomorrow will take a run at 60 degrees. As we move into Thanksgiving day however big changes are on tap. Morning lows on Thursday will
be around 30 with gusty winds out of the north and west.
High temps will max out in the upper 30s . Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy .
Black Friday starts out with temps in the upper 20s . Overall Friday looks nice with sun returning but remaining breezy.
Weekend looks ok , dry all day Saturday but cold , temps starting off again in the 20s and highs not reaching 40 , winds should relax though.
Sunday starts off nice but watching another round of rain moving in near dinner time . Sunday should be warmer with highs into the mid 40s.
Beyond the weekend we are watching a minor coastal event to enter the area on Tuesday , at this moment it looks like a nuisance snow event .

It will rain late tomorrow into very early Saturday morning. Not much , perhaps a few tenths of an inch. Rain looks to be gone by daybreak Saturday.

Will be interesting overnight tonight , several deterministic models are showing at least a coating of snow from Northern Northampton County and points north. Higher elevation could maybe see around 1" or so. Shown is the NAM 3K

Rain arrives very late tonight , continues through AM rush , through mid day and begins wrapping up mid afternoon. Look for 1.25”-1.5” amounts of rain. Winds will be whipping on the back side of this system . Friday night trick or treating will be an adventure.

And just like that snow tracking season has begun , GFS says by Friday morning parts of North Central PA see a double digit snowfall.

Temps for the foreseeable future will be very Autumn like. Locally the 60s are about done . Steady diet of low to mid 50s will rule the roost. Rain chances however are not looking great. Look for something possibly late next week which would be Hurricane Melissa .
