Storms now cranking up in areas to our west in areas such as Pottsville , Tamaqua , Lebanon , and Lancaster . There appears to be one severe cell that hits northern sections of the valley around 530 . Please be alert .

Severe thunderstorm watch for late this afternoon and evening.
Storms will begin rolling through around 6 as the cold front swings through. Anytime from 6 until maybe 9 .
Behind the front is a dramatic drop in temps.
More rain will make its way through the region again Thursday in the mid morning time frame of 8-9. Look for rain to taper off Thursday by 4 or 5 .
Friday looks dry but even more rain moves in early Saturday morning. Showers could linger into Sunday morning but as the day moves on it should dry out.
High temps are -
Thursday - mid to upper 50s
Friday - near 60
Saturday - near 50
Sunday - mid 50s
Memorial Day - near 60
Memorial Day is still questionable as far as rain . But I’d side with some morning showers with dryer conditions in the afternoon .

Today is day # 2 of 90 degrees plus , need a third day to make it our first official heat wave of the new season. It’s not going to happen. Tomorrow will reach the mid 80s tops before a cold front brings along with it a line of storms and a return to more average temps . Said front may stall out and a new low may form along it and ride up into PA bringing more rain Thursday morning especially south and east of the area. Temps Thursday will be some 30 degrees cooler than Wednesday. If you hate this heat just be patient .

If you’re trying to decide which day this weekend to have your outdoor activities , go with Sunday . Saturday is a wash and Monday morning doesn’t look that great as of now.

Rain moves in tomorrow mid morning between 9-10 . Should move out by 4-5 . Look for a few tenths of an inch . Certainly no drought buster but every bit helps.
