Apple Cobbler Crisp (CROBBLER) As seen on Food Network 🍎🥧 Ingredients: For the Apples: • 7-8 Granny Smith or Gala apples (peeled and sliced) • ¾ cup granulated sugar • 1 tsp cinnamon • ½ stick butter • A little water (just enough to help the apples simmer) For the Cobbler Batter: • 1 cup granulated sugar • 1 cup self-rising flour • 1 cup milk For the Crisp Topping: • 1½ cups brown sugar • 1 cup quick oats • ½ stick softened butter Instructions: Prepare the Apples: 1. Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. Pour the apple mixture into a 9x13 baking dish. Make the Cobbler Batter: 1. In a bowl, mix together 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, and 1 cup self-rising flour. 2. Stir until smooth and well combined. 3. Slowly pour this batter evenly over the apples in the baking dish. Do not stir. Add the Crisp Topping: 1. In a separate bowl, mix 1½ cups brown sugar, 1 cup quick oats, and ½ stick softened butter until crumbly. 2. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the batter. Bake: 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve: Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Optional: sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top It’s been one year since our episode of Food Network’s Family Recipe Showdown aired! When my grandson Miller 🩵 asked me to be a judge for Mountain Superstars Jr. 2026, a project he’s worked so hard on the past three years, I just couldn’t say no 💛 And let me tell y’all… I had the BEST time. These youngins have got the vocals AND the star power ⭐️ Watching them took me right back to when Ethan was growing up, getting on stages and competing just like this. Makes a Mamaw proud. 🥹 I even got to judge alongside one of my favorite creators, - such a sweet bonus! Congratulations to Zamira (our winner) and Rosalina (runner-up) - you both did absolutely amazing. But truly, every single contestant could’ve taken it home. In Mamaw’s eyes… y’all are ALL superstars 🌟
