I’m a “wear what makes you feel like YOU” mom, and I’m not apologizing for it.
Not today, not ever.

Some people won’t like that.
Good.
We’re not all meant to parent the same.

In our home, things are simple:
Being born a boy doesn’t lock you into a costume.
And it’s my job as their mother to teach them that, confidently and consistently.

Kids get curious, that’s normal.
They’ll ask questions.
They’ll wonder why certain clothes or colors get labeled for one gender.
That curiosity is part of growing up.

What’s NOT normal is forcing kids into a box because adults are uncomfortable.

My boys might wear dresses or sneakers.
They might paint their nails or leave them natural.
They might love sparkles, sports, both, or neither.

Not because I’m trying to “confuse” them,
but because I’m raising whole human beings
kind, confident, grounded kids who know they never have to shrink themselves to fit someone else’s rules.

You can call it strange.
You can call it modern.
You can call it whatever fits your narrative.

I call it parenting.
And in this house, my boys will grow up knowing they never need to perform a gender
they just get to be who they are.
