Two pictures.
Taken literally two minutes apart.
One angle? Hello abs, welcome to the stage.
The next? Oh hi tummy, didn’t see you step up like that but hey girl, welcome to the party 🎉
Same body.
Same joy.
Same Christmas chaos crew climbing all over me.
And that’s the point.
You can angle the camera, twist a little, stand taller, suck in, edit your lil heart out, pose, WHATEVER. But your body doesn’t change it’s worth because the lighting was nicer or your core remembered it exists for 0.3 seconds 🤣
My arms carried littles, I ran a race, laughed hard, bent weird, breathed deep, and held a whole lot of joy in front of the camera. A little tummy over the waistband isn’t the villain, it’s the proof I was LIVING.
This body does amazing things, in every angle, every pose, every “oh wow abs” moment and every “yep, there’s my real stomach” moment.
We’re built for memories, not perfection.
So next time you take a picture that doesn’t meet the standards that social media sets for us, just remember the amazing things your body HAS done 🫶🏻
