The WJC's investigation into the challenges of buying a home is on the Top 10 collaborations of 2025 by the Center for Cooperative Media! Partners Chris Green from The Journal at Kansas Leadership Center and Meg Britton-Mehlish at KMUW investigated why finding a home in Wichita has become so challenging, particularly for first-time buyers. Their work included data analysis by journalist Jay O'Dea, it involved navigating Kansas Open Records Act requests and put human faces on the statistics.
