Was able to join my husband on a work trip to DC this week!! It was my first time to the capitol and unfortunately the worst time to travel there- everything was closed to the public due to the shutdown ☹️ We made it to the Holocaust museum and explore around!

I cannot get over our wedding day.

For about 12 days I had been checking weather models. It wasn’t until about a week out we were seeing some tropical moisture from Hurricane Priscilla come into question for southern Arizona. Our wedding was fully outside, but everyone from Arizona kept telling me that it never rains long- just a brief shower then it passes. We decided to just order a bunch of umbrellas and take our chances! A few days before the wedding I quit checking weather models.. I decided who cares?! Day of it was beautiful, some clouds but no rain. About 30 mins before the ceremony started, I checked radar and warned everyone that one lone thunderstorm was headed our way…sure enough it hit right at the end of the ceremony. We got through our vows, then exchanged rings and it POURED! We had our first kiss and walked back down the aisle in the torrential rain. Within 5 mins the rain cleared out and it was BEAUTIFUL the rest of the night. The rain was chaotic but made for such a magical experience, it was perfect!!!
